Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya


From the Teacher-in-Charge’s Desk

Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya is named after Late Smt. Kamala Paul, the local resident of Chopra. The college is beautifully located at Chopra in the midst of Tea Garden on the land of around 4 acres. The land was donated by Mr. Bishwanath Paul, great son of Late Smt. Kamala Paul.

The College was built up by The North Bengal Development Department, Govt. of West Bengal with special interest of Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of West Bengal.

The 3 storied building occupies 3362 with sufficient number of class rooms, administrative building along with large sized Library and Conference halls. The college is affiliated to the University of North Bengal flowered on 5th August, 2013. We expressed our gratitude to Sri. Goutam Deb, Hon’ble Minister in Charge, NBDD for the inauguration of the College. Jb. Hamidul Rahaman, M.L.A, Chopra, had shown his keen interest in establishing the college. The College offers UG Course in Arts (General) from the session 2013-14 having Bengali, English, Urdu, Political Science, Philosophy, and History. Chopra Kamala Paul Smriti Mahavidyalaya aspires to continue as a centre of excellence not only in education but also emphasized in value based education.
